JOINT MODEL-BASED AND DATA-BASED LEARNING: THE FUZZY= LOGIC APPROACH

SCOPE: The prop=
osed
session is planned to include all aspects of relations between interval and
fuzzy techniques, including:
* A model is a theoretical representation=
of
some phenomenon, by logical and quantitative relationships. A model has an
ontology that is the set of expressions in the model which are intended to
produce missing information, whether they are past, present or future.
Learning is the process of acquiring know=
ledge,
or values, through experience, or teaching, that causes a change of behavior
that is persistent.
The learning process can generate models =
of two
types:
1) Data-based - by analyzing data that le=
ad to
a mapping of input objects onto desired outputs, 2) Model-based - by tuning=
a
set of parameters to be applied to local previously built models.
* All research works where both types app=
ear,
and using some concepts related to Fuzzy logic" will be considered.
Illustrative real size applications are welcome.
